The PCC of St Paul's Church, Warton are pleased to make the following announcement: Rev'd Tracy Swindells has been appointed as the new Vicar for Warton and Freckleton. Currently Vicar of Langho in the Ribble Valley, Rev'd Tracy is expected to join us formally in the early summer. This is great news and I hope you can all help in welcoming Rev'd Tracy when she arrives. **************** Update *********************** Following her installation service on Sunday 4th June we are pleased to announce that Rev. Tracy Swindells is now in post as the Vicar of the Joint Benefice of St Paul's Warton and Holy Trinity Freckleton.

The Churchwardens and PCC have made the decision to re-open St Paul’s Church for public worship on Good Friday, 2nd April and Sunday morning eucharist services will resume from Easter Sunday, 4th April. For the time being the ‘All Aboard’ services (usually on the second Sunday of the month) will be replaced by the normal eucharist service.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Temporary Suspension of Services Owing to the recent Government instruction to ‘Stay at Home’ there will be no public worship services at St Paul's until further notice. The churchwardens and PCC will be reviewing this decision at the beginning of March.
********* Please note that all services will now be suspended from 5th November to 2nd December due to the re-imposition of a national lockdown ************

In line with Government guidance, St Paul's Church re-opened for Sunday Worship on 5th July 2020. The service is a little bit different from before Coronavirus struck in that there is no singing allowed and that no wine is taken at Communion. No hugs or handshakes are allowed during the Peace which instead consists of verbal responses said to each other and waves across the pews. From 8th August, face coverings are now compulsory inside church. The Wednesday morning service has now also restarted in church.
ST PAUL'S IS OPENING FOR PRIVATE PRAYER From Thursday 18 June St Paul's will be open for Individual Private Prayer at the following times... Mondays - 2-4pm Thursdays - 5-7pm This may be subject to change so please keep an eye on FB and the noticeboard. Please be aware that social distancing and hygiene measures are in place in church as elsewhere.
As some of you may have noticed work has now started on the repairs to the church roof. Scaffolding has gone up and the start of the actual repairs is imminent so please stay safe when in the churchyard by following the signs that have been placed near the entrances and any directions given by the workmen on site. During this period service locations have been changed as follows: The Sunday 0945 service will take place at the usual time but in The Village Hall. Other Sunday services will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Freckleton which is our sister church. The Wednesday morning 0930 service will take place at the usual time but in The Vicarage on Church Road (opposite the entrance by Church Gardens). Please keep checking the Church Noticeboard for any further updates.
