Further funding has been received and work is set to start on the roof at some time after the 18th August 2019. Many thanks for all who have supported our fundraising efforts so far. During the period of the repairs Church Services and other events will be relocated so please check this website, the Church News Sheet or the Church Notice Board for details. There will also be a 1/2 Boon Day on Saturday 10th August to help prepare the Church for the repair work so all are welcome from 1pm on that day to support that work.
CHURCH ELECTORAL ROLL We are updating the church Electoral Roll, anyone who is not already on it can apply to be added. Forms are available from David Garstang or the wardens.
#Pray For The Roof Please pray for St Paul’s Church roof – that the damage doesn’t get any worse; that we get positive responses from current funding bids; and give thanks for people who have made donations.
2019 is The Year of Discipleship in the Blackburn Diocese. We are all called to grow closer to God and deepen our faith. There are already several notices in church about retreats, courses and quiet days; more will follow. So why not make a New Year’s resolution to do something to grow your faith in 2019.
Holy Trinity Church will be open on Saturday 18 February from 10:00 to 12:00. We warmly welcome you to drop in if you’d like to view the church or just have a peaceful rest. Tea, coffee and toasted sandwiches will be available for a donation, and proceeds will go to the charities that our Sunday School and Yurch group support.
Admission £6 per person (deposit payable in advance), plus a donation on the night. Proceeds will go to Holy Trinity Church, so please give generously. Bring your own drinks for the meal. Tickets will be on sale until Sunday 26 March.
Calling all MU members, please bake for the cake stall at the Christmas Market. Please deliver produce to church by noon on Saturday, 28th November.
